Source: Ain't it cool
According to Total Film via Ain’t it Cool* there are a vast array of X-Men related movies in the works.
MovieCake would like to ask old Hollywood studios to calm down for a minute and consider the projects they already have in the works regarding X-Men and X-Men alone. Not including the other Marvel cinematic titles that are already in pre-prodcution: Spiderman, Thor, Captain America, the Avengers. If wasn’t enough they thought they would milk it some more out of the Marvel cow. Why not hey?
The X-Men related titles in the works so far are Matthew Vaughn’s X-Men- First Class, Duncan Jones’ Wolverine 2 and Anonymous’ Deadpool. And now the executives at Fox** said they’d love an X-Men 4 & 5 to carry on from Brett Ratner’s X3. Oh yeah, and Vaughn has said he’d do a sequel to First Class, as well as a prequel, which Fox loved too.
So that’s a potential 3 more movies for the X franchise alone. Not that it’s a bad thing. Not one of the X movies have disappointed so far and not one of the Marvel movies have either (well, except Hulk and Elektra). Do we really need all of these though? I love the comic adaptations more than my girlfriend would allow me to admit but I have that warm guilty sensation that these loves for comic to screen movies are going to implode and become disasters.
We shall see movie fans, we shall see.
*We get desperate for sources okay!?
