Warrior expected in cinemas September 11th

From his commanding performance in 'Bronson' to stealing 'Inception' away from DeCaprio, Tom Hardy is certainly an actor whose work is growing in stature*.

Hardy’s new film, 'Warrior', will be released later this year and although it bears more than a passing resemblance to 'The Fighter', Hardy will surely impress as a bulked up MMA fighter locked in a family struggle with his brother.

The Warriors plot synopsis is: The youngest son (Hardy) of an alcoholic former boxer (Nolte) returns home, where he's trained by his father for competition in a mixed martial arts tournament -- a path that puts the fighter on a collision corner with his older brother (Edgerton).

For wrestling fans, the trailer also features the legendary Kurt Angle whose acting skills on the straight-to-DVD market so far have varied between awful and utterly embarrassing so this should definitely be one to watch out for.

Official release date is September.  Check out the trailer below!

*Hardy will also be staring as Bain in the Dark Knight Rises

Adam Harker
